Could an English native speaker help me, please?
I'm supposed to send a presentation video in English to my agency, and I'm not sure about the grammar. Here is my speech:
Hey everyone, how's it going?
I'm Lucy Portela, a Brazilian actress and I'm here to talk a little bit about my work.
I decided to be an actress when I was 30 years old. A little bit late, no?
Well, I studied at the Conservatory of Tatuí about nine years ago. Yes, I'm 39.
Since I started acting, I’ve been in many plays, not only in drama school but also in other independent groups.
I’ve played various characters in my career: a depressed mother in a Sergio Roveri's play, a romantic harlot in "Razor in the Flesh" by Plínio Marcos, and of course I haven’t escaped from the classic ones, in “Antigone by Sophocles” I was one of the old Theban man.
Besides working on stage, I’ve made some short movies and many TV commercials too. You can see them all on my website, Vimeo, or YouTube channel.
I hope you enjoy this video and maybe we can work together.
See you.
“Hey everyone, how's it going?” could be a bit too informal, but it depends on how relaxed the people are that you’re talking too. Same probably with “see you”.
