Did you know that there are several ways to say 'I' in Bahasa Indonesia?
The translations for 'I' in Bahasa Indonesia are 'Saya' (formal) and 'Aku' (informal).
However, sometimes people refer to themselves in the third person, using their own name or the way others address them.
For example:
If you call someone 'Bapak' (Sir), they will refer to themselves as 'Bapak' too.
If you call someone 'Ibu' (Ma'am), they will refer to themselves as 'Ibu' too.
If you call someone 'Kakak' (Sister), they will refer to themselves as 'Kakak' too.
If you call someone 'Abang' (Brother), they will refer to themselves as 'Abang' too.
And so on.
Additionally, each province in Indonesia has its own local languages, which introduce even more variations of how to say 'I.'
