I will play with my daughter on weekends, we play GO, read, etc. My mother believes in Buddhism. My father likes a drink. My wife works not far from home, she likes sour and spicy food.

I play with my daughter on weekends; we play GO, read, etc. My mother believes in Buddhism. My father likes a drink. My wife works not far from home; she likes spicy food.

"Sour" is used in the phrase "sweet and sour" (which I think is mostly a Schezwan sort of combination). Otherwise "sour" has a negative connotation with food. I think all you need to say is "spicy". I hope that helps!
