"Even so" is an equivalent to "nevertheless/ with that said" "Even though" is an equivalent to "Although/ despite of the fact that" Example: A: I went to the store today and even though they didn't have eggs I got pancake mix instead. B: Oh really? Even so, you're still going to make pancakes? A: Yep. I was hoping to borrow eggs from you even though you said you wouldn't let me borrow anything else from you. B: Even so... I think I can make an exception. Your pancakes are amazing! Could also be: A: I went to the store today and despite the fact that they didn't have eggs I got pancake mix anyway. B: Oh really? With that said, you're still going to make pancakes? A: Yep. I was hoping to borrow eggs from you; although you said you wouldn't let me borrow anything else from you. B: Nevertheless... I think I can make an exception. Your pancakes are amazing! I hope that helped!

“Even though” has the meaning of “although” Even though I left for work an hour earlier, I arrived late because of traffic. “Even so” is more like “nevertheless” She hurt her ankle yesterday. Even so, she performed well during the race.

"Even so" is odd. The only use I can think for the use of it is to mean "regardless". "Even though" can be replaced with the phrase "in spite of the fact that" or "not withstanding the fact that" if you can understand that better. It is used to say that something is happening that is contrary to something else. For instance, I went to the mall, even though I have no money.
