What's the difference between 'driving force' and 'driven force'? What are the driving forces behind sales trends? Can I use 'driven force' for 'driving force'? Thank you!

The two phrases are different in meaning. A driving force is an influence, either physical or metaphorical that causes something else to happen or to continue. A driven force would be a force that is influenced by another source of power. I have never heard the phrase, "driven force", used nor can I think of any examples.

No, the common expression is "driving force". I am not sure how I would explain the phrase "driven force".
