Is there any proverb which has the same meaning in English? Free vinegar is sweeter than honey. Vinegar that is free, is sweeter than honey. It means that you like free things even if they are bad or tasteless. If I say like this, Is it natural? Free things is always taste better.I corrected it. "Free things are always taste better."

In Persian, they say: "مفت باشه، کوفت باشه" :d everybody likes freedom! :d I think there should be a proverb or something in English to refer to this fact. although, in these kind of situations, you can simply say "It's better than nothing!" I guess!
