What is the difference between "Come va" and "Come stai"? Are "Va" and "va" both different?

How are you? is a form of "contracted" of "how things work" or "how's life" and, in theory, can be translated literally as "how's everything?" How are you? is the most common form and is the equivalent of "how are you?". The meaning is slightly different, but are used in common speech in the same sense, that is to ask someone "how are you" in general.

Come va? Come stai?
