There are eight parts of speech in English:
noun
pronoun
verb
adjective
adverb
preposition
conjunction
interjection
Remember that some words can be many parts of speech, depending on how they are used in the sentence:
Ex: "well"
"The village dug a well." (noun)
"She sings well." (adverb)
"Well, I don't know." (interjection)
"The bride began to well up with tears before her vows." (verb)
And remember also that some words can change forms (for instance, a verb can change into a "verbal", which can act like a noun or adjective, etc.):
Ex. "to run"
"Cheetahs can run at 60 mph." (verb)
"Running hurts my knees." (gerund / noun)
"We kept a running total of expenses for the wedding." (adjective)
