That happened a long time ago.
While walking in the countryside, I found an injured heron chick in a rice field. He was shivering and seemed helpless.
I was able to pick him up because he was still young, although he was already quite large for a chick.
I carried him to my car and placed him gently on the back seat.
He was surprisingly calm and behaved like a very good little bird.
I took him to visit my friend, who was a kind nurse with experience caring for animals. She generously helped treat him and fed him well.
A couple of days later, he had recovered and flew away into the blue sky.
