- I've been teaching on italki since 2022 (with a break when my second son was born).
- I've taught at universities in Chile and China, and at British Study Centres language school in Oxford, UK.
- I earned a master's level qualification called the Cambridge DELTA (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in 2019.
- I earned my first teaching certificate, Cambridge CELTA, and started teaching English in 2011.
- I have a first class degree in International Relations and Spanish from the University of St Andrews.

I adapt my lessons to each student.
- Conversational English with targeted practice: in these lessons I bring a discussion topic and IELTS-style speaking tasks to develop your fluency in a range of speaking situations. During the lesson I offer feedback on areas where you can improve, including grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, and we practise those areas.
- English for a specific goal: some students have a presentation to prepare, exam to take, or a textbook they want to complete. In these lessons I work with you according to your specific needs.

Today we had a fascinating lesson about describing video scenes which on one side required an extended vocabulary but on the other provided a good chance to extend the existing ones. Not to mention brushing up on multiple wrongly learned mistakes. Thanks as always.

This time we had a lesson in the form of an interesting and lively conversation on various topics during which Grace corrected grammar and word usage (it turns out that not all words taken from English courses are used in real life 😊). Appriciate our lessons as always! Happy New Year holidays!
