🔵 I have been teaching Japanese since 2016; started off at language schools and online, and now at college.
🔵 My primary focus is for you to build vocabulary and improve the wording so you can communicate with Japanese speakers smoothly.

🟡 My teaching style is relaxed so you can speak Japanese at your own pace without getting nervous. As you speak, I will help you develop your Japanese skills lessons which are relevant to your own personal needs.
Yes, that means in our class we will talk A LOT in Japanese!🥰
We will try to communicate in Japanese as much as possible, but if there is a time when you are too tired to speak it or have questions that you prefer asking in English, feel free to switch it to English. Trying to speak Japanese is inportant but do not get stressed out about it😌Language learning is supposed to be fun, so let's enjoy the process. I am here to help! 🟠 Lessons will be conducted over Zoom.
🟠 I teach adults only.
🟠 My availability will be all that are shown in italki calendar.
🟠 Lesson Length:
Due to back to back classes, each lesson will end a few min earlier.
🟠 Cancellation Policy:
You may reschedule a lesson with at least 24 hrs in advance, so another student can request a class in that time slot. Italki credits will NOT be refunded to the student and be paid to the teacher in the following situations:
- A student's no show
- A request to reschedule the class with less than 24 hrs notice via Messages

I have been with Marina Sensei for a year+, and she is a very awesome teacher to have. She is very good at adapting to a busy lifestyle to ensure you are on the right track to be motivated in language learning. Because there are periods when you may not have time to do the studying you would like to do, because life gets in the way. Whether you want to do speaking/listening/writing/grammar. Whatever goals you have she is always supportive and can prepare the perfect lesson plan for you. I definitely do recommend her, if you haven't tried a pro like her before!

First lesson after a couple months' break. Marina asked how I wanted to structure today's call (i.e. some free talk, some grammar, etc.), I choose to go for all free-talk today, and came with some topics I wanted to practice with. Marina did a great job of helping move things along throughout the call, correcting my grammar, and teaching me lots of new words and phrases. I also learned some new aspects of Japanese culture, which was super fun and interesting!

Marina sensei was very adaptive and informative during our trial lesson! Having contacted her beforehand about my current skill level and concerns, she used a mix of both English and Japanese plus short assessment tests to gauge how much I was capable of understanding. She then managed to determine a very close approximation of my existing knowledge of the language and was able to pinpoint where in Genki we should start off!
Looking forward to our actual lessons, まりな先生！
