Stone Yan - 颜士东

My journey with Stone has been a pleasure. He's willing to help correct essays and offer help both in and out of class--it's clear that he's invested in your entire learning experience, not just your in-lesson experience. He's good-natured and supportive, and will often refer back to things we've previously learned to help cement concepts. I'd recommend trying him out!

Stone is an outstanding teacher. He is always on time, well-prepared, patient, engaging, and funny. The more lessons we have, the more I enjoy our conversations. He has a real talent for speaking Chinese to your level, which has really helped me build up my confidence in expressing myself.

Stone is SO much fun. I always am laughing and learning at the same time. He sent me a document to keep record of simple phrases. He keeps me on track when I wander into a different topic, is very patient when I don't understand, tells me not to worry, and explains new words while telling stories. I highly recommend his class! Stone辅导教师把新词汇解释了，把东西出现了，告诉我“别担心” 和如果我逛逛到别的话题的话， 他吸引我回来。他总是给我一些例子。他说：“尽管问我吧！” 谢谢您老师！

For this lesson, I asked lots of questions outside the textbook and Stone's patiently answered all my curiosity. He also encouraged me to take the HSK 1 exam next month.

Stone is an excellent teacher. When going over vocabulary he is sure to give out many examples and he explains how each word is used in daily life. I had an excellent lesson!
