Hi, I’m Alan, a CELTA-qualified English teacher from the UK with 20 years of experience. I love helping students become more confident and fluent in English, whether it’s chatting about everyday topics, current affairs, or hobbies. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, swimming, and walking my dog. I’ve traveled widely, but now I’m settled and enjoying married life. I enjoy discussing a wide range of topics, such as politics, economics, football, music, and books—and I’d love to hear about what interests you too.ฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
In my lessons, I focus on creating a relaxed, enjoyable environment where you can feel comfortable speaking and improving your English. Conversation is a key part of language learning, and I believe it’s the best way to build fluency and confidence, so we’ll focus on topics that are interesting and relevant to you.
Beyond conversation, I’ll help you refine your vocabulary, improve your pronunciation, and tackle any other areas of English you may need—whether for everyday use or more structured aspects of English that you may need in everyday or professional settings. Las clases de Alan son geniales. Ya con la clase de prueba me quedé maravillada, pero desde luego con la primera clase ha superado mis expectativas. Alan no sólo es muy agradable, también lo tiene todo preparadísimo y no escatima en tiempo. Lo recomiendo al 100%.

Alan is a fantastic teacher! I need help to improve both speaking and writing because I want to take the CAE as soon as I can. While I was searching for a teacher on Italki I luckily found somebody who is patient, adaptable and professional. His lessons are effective and goal-driven. He is keen to hear what your problems with English are and to develop a personalised plan of action to solve all of them, one by one. Highly recommended!!!

If you are looking for IELTS speaking practice, Alan is perfectly suited for it. I had intensive practice (for now 5 classes) with him and in each class, I've learned something new. He also gives you feedback about your performance, points out your weaknesses, and how to overcome them. I highly recommend him!
