Yuri Tezuka

I love my lessons with Yuri-san. She's really good at explaining Japanese grammar, even when it's super confusing. You can tell she works hard to find the best way to make things clear. Yuri-san is an incredible teacher, no doubt about it. And the best part today? The chit chat we have! Today, we talked about typhoons. It's awesome to share stories and discover new things about each other's cultures. Our lessons are always a good time! Thank you Yuri-san!

I always enjoy my lessons with Yuri-san, she can be quite flexible with the class. For example, today she allowed me to talk a lot, thus doing a lot of conversation practice, rather than learning new grammar. I appreciated this a lot as I need a lot of practice before my upcoming trip. いつも、どうもありがとうございます！

Yuri-san is a great teacher. I enjoy her lessons very much and I feel that we have a good rapport and can talk about anything. Yuri-san is also understanding when I make mistakes and helps me to build my confidence in learning and speaking Japanese. I am a very lucky student. Yuri was the first ever teacher I had a class with, and I’m writing this review as I’m starting my second year of Japanese with her. As an experienced language teacher with 20+ years teaching in international schools, I was immediately impressed by Yuri's structured and engaging approach. What truly sets Yuri apart is her meticulous organization. Yuri follows the textbook, yes, but utilizes a well-structured PowerPoint presentation with accompanying visual aids and a comprehensive document outlining the lesson's key points. New vocabulary is seamlessly integrated into these materials, enabling students to easily review and reference the information. Additionally, Yuri consistently sends a class report summarizing the lesson content and outlining the homework assignments. Yuri acknowledges that she may not be the most fluent conversationalist. However, despite my beginner status, our interactions have remained entirely in Japanese.

First lesson of 2025! I am excited to start something new and take it to the next level! I am looking forward to exploring this journey with Yuri-San together. As always, Yuri-San demonstrates great patience and attentiveness in class. I thoroughly enjoy every lesson with Yuri-san!
