- you want to improve your reading, writing, speaking, and listening for university study.
- you are a teacher, tutor, or educator whose first language is not English and you want to be more confident using English with the people you teach.
- you want to increase their vocabulary and improve their fluency and accuracy and sound more like a native speaker.

My goal is to help you achieve your goals. So whatever reason you want to learn English or Scots (conversation, travel, teaching), I can help you.
My students all say that I have a lot of patience. I will smile when you do something well, and I will give you all the encouragement I can. I am also very open, friendly person.
I have 10 years of experience teaching English and have recently started teaching Scots. I also sometimes teach French and Spanish in my local community.

We can practice any aspect of English or Scots: grammar, reading, writing, listening, speaking. I aim to make my lessons fun, rewarding, and challenging.
I have a wide range of materials and lesson plans but I am happy to customise the lessons and work at a pace that is suitable for you. For me, it is essential that the lessons are conducted according to your needs and goals.

Michael is a fantastic teacher, he’s focused all the time, he’s proactive, funny and very participatory. Very competent, he corrects mistakes explaining very well the grammatical and syntax rules and always adding some new native expressions. Every week I can’t wait to do my lesson!
