Hello and welcome! I'm Camilo, a passionate lawyer and educator with over 3 years of experience on Italki. I love teaching authentic Spanish and have had the privilege of guiding numerous students towards fluency in the language. My unique approach combines my background in design and law to offer you enriching and authentic learning. My goal is to take you beyond textbooks and immerse you in real conversations that reflect everyday Spanish. With my legal experience and native background, I can provide you with a genuine and deep understanding of the language.

My background in design and law has given me a multifaceted perspective that I incorporate into my lessons. My method is based on immersion and active practice. In my classes, you will use a variety of materials ranging from contemporary texts to audiovisual media. I firmly believe in learning by doing, so in my sessions, students speak in Spanish 90% of the time, allowing you to apply what you learn immediately

I use a variety of materials, from contemporary articles and videos to games and interactive exercises, all designed to enrich your vocabulary and cultural understanding. My goal is for you to not only master the language but also feel comfortable and confident using it in various situations.

Camilo is THE one! I always enjoy my lessons spent with him 😌 He’s well prepared, and he’s sooo down to earth. He always has a good balance of casual convos and grammatical lessons. Solely talks in Spanish, but he will always make sure you understand. He also keeps a google doc with sentences and links to resources from the lesson which is incredibly helpful.
