My name is Jonathan Cicilia, born in Willemstad, Curacao, Netherlands Antilles, Dutch Kingdom. Culturally diverse, adventurous, driven, and open to listening are some details that describe me.
I am a passionate and dynamic teacher who has a passion for the areas of Psychology, Social Work, Linguistics, and Education. I am here to help you out in your journey of learning one of the 4 languages I provide classes about. You are welcome to give it a try.

As a teacher, I consider myself really creative, patient, and focused on the strengths of those I help. I try to focus on the interests of the students for them to stay interested and learn at the same time. The idea is to make sure I understand what the student wants and meet halfway to make it sure I get them to their aimed goal, while we still are amused and entertained. It is important to add that teaching is a passion for me, and I find joy in helping others achieve. For me, an extra sense of responsibility in life is important while I contribute to the development of others.บทเรียนและรูปแบบการสอนของฉัน
I am really flexible, which makes it easy for students to cover the topics of their interest while making sure we put up a plan to at cover a new topic weekly. Every student is different and therefore I will make sure to adapt. I will do a quick assessment of what the student knows/remembers before we start a session on a regular basis. I will expect the same respect I give my students, and interest in the language which will make it pleasant for both of us through this journey.สื่อการสอนของฉัน

It was my first lesson learning Papiamento with Jonathan. He is really encouraging and covers a lot of vocabulary and expressions in just one lesson. He really knows how to keep the flow of the lesson and at the same time makes sure all the time if I had any questions. Excellent teacher!!

Wat een leuke les!!! Jonathan was super goed voorbereid en ging heel gestructureerd te werk. Hij is heel sympathiek en vrolijk, makkelijk om mee te praten. Het is handig dat hij ook zo goed Nederlands én Engels én Spaans spreekt zodat je overal uit kan komen, mocht er iets onduidelijk zijn. Hij is de enige op italki die Papiamento geeft en dus zal ik zeker nog een les met hem boeken. Heel erg bedankt, Jonathan :-)

I just had such a good lesson with Jonathan I am going to purchase a second package. He is very patient and knowledgeable, and is good at identifying what fundamentals you have down so you can spend more time working on things you need extra help with.
It is a very tailored, personalized teaching session which goes far beyond the free resources I have gathered from the internet on my own. While I was nervous because I haven’t taken a language class in 15 years, today’s lesson with Jonathan reminded me that learning a language can be really fun, exciting and inspiring. I plan to use my language skills when I travel in the near future. I’m grateful to have found this app and especially Jonathan as a teacher!
