Hi! I'm Kaho from Yokohama Japan.
I have a master's degree in Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition from University of Barcelona.
I have lived in Michigan USA, Victoria Canada, LA USA, Barcelona Spain and London.
My hobbies are wearing Kimono and dancing Bachata. I also love travelling. I have visited 36 countries so far.

スペインのバルセロナの大学院(だいがくいん)で言語学(げんごがく)を勉強(べんきょう)しました。
今まで、アメリカのミシガン州(しゅう)とカリフォルニア州、カナダのブリティッシュコロンビア州、イギリスのロンドンに住(す)んだことがあります。

I have been teaching on italk for over 5 years.
I was a kindergarten teacher at an international school before I move to Spain.
I have a teacher permit to teach English to high school students in Japan.

Japanese is a context-dependent language.
I am a good English speaker, so I can always explain the details of little nuances in language.
We can talk about or work on anything you want! On Italki, I have helped students with their exams, homework, business presentation preparation and so on. I also have a textbook "genki" so we can use it if you wish. For the first class, I will share the PDF of the first part so you can see if you will like it or not.

I've had about four lessons with Kaho, and it's honestly been awesome. She's got a knack for explaining tough stuff in a way that clicks, especially for someone just starting out with Japanese like me.
Kaho really gets where beginners might get stuck and makes learning Japanese feel less intimidating and more fun. This approach has helped me feel more confident and excited to keep at it.
If you're thinking about diving into Japanese, I'd say go for a lesson with Kaho!

Kaho is a wonderful teacher! I’ve already had a couple of lessons with her. She speaks clearly and slowly and introduces new words for me to learn. When I make mistakes she clarifies it and gives me the space to repeat myself! I feel myself improving under her tutelage and would definitely recommend having lessons with her!

Kaho is a wonderful sensei. Every lesson the time flies by, we always have something to do and talk about and I can feel my knowledge and speaking/listening ability growing! I can't recommend her enough :)

Kaho is a great instructor. She knows I want to learn more vocabulary that I would use in my daily life and she does an amazing job explaining grammar points using Genki I. Can't recommend her enough as a Japanese teacher.

My first lesson with Kaho was fun! I am a relatively advanced (but out of practise) learner so I just wanted to have some casual speaking practise and Kaho was friendly and patient, and I learnt some interesting words and info about Japan! I would happily do another lesson with her. :)
