Valerie is wonderful! Class always feels meaningful and a great mix of planned and flexible/organic content. She is extremely encouraging, knowledgeable, and just plain easy to talk to. I'm always impressed how she assesses my performance in the target language and gives me meaningful items to work on between classes. She makes it look effortless, but I can assure you that it takes a lot of expertise and empathy to develop and manage a class the way that Valerie does.

Valerie is always so encouraging and friendly in our lessons. She does a great job remembering things I've shared before to ask me about them (in practicing conversation). She provides helpful error correction in the moment so I don't fossilize any incorrect phrasings. She teaches grammatical concepts as they come up naturally in my speaking. Highly recommend.
