Yeaeun is an amazing teacher! She's very easy to talk to and very supportive. She comes prepared with a lesson but also adapts it in real time based on your needs or things you want to learn how to say. She's very patient and will let me take time to try to make sentences, then gently corrects them after so that I know how to say want I want to say properly. Thank you Yeaeun!

Another great lesson today! I got to talk about my future trip to Korea in the summer, and I’m already excited at the idea of being able to put to practice all of my learning with Yeaeun in live scenarios when the time will come!

Yeaeun is a very patient and great teacher—or ‘très pédagogue’ as we say in French! I’m struggling with distinguishing in which cases to use -아서/어서 as opposed to -(으)니까, but Yeaeun gave me a lot of examples using both grammar points, while opposing them and explaining in details each time why use one over the other. I think I just need a bit more practice before really nailing it but I can feel that I’m starting to wrap my head around it.

I believe that Yeaeun’s main strength as a language teacher lies in her capacity to not only isolate essential and handy expressions/grammar but even break them down while emphasising the nuances they carry in such a clear and coherent manner, which makes memorising them easier. Also this time I tried writing some notes of the things I wanted to talk about before the lesson started, as I usually struggle to come up with things on the spot or to talk a bit more in details into them, most likely due to my introvert and shy nature—I’m not a really talkative person which can make it difficult to improve in speaking—, so being aware of that I’ve been trying to find ways to overcome those obstacles. And it was my first time trying this approach and I think it really benefited our valuable lesson time, and Yeaeun was extremely encouraging too! I had a lot of fun learning today as well!
