I was really fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and I now am learning Taiwanese with Ingrid. She teaches you, talks more about the background of how things work, and also makes some funny mnemonics to help you remember things a lot better. She is an excellent teacher.

She has lived in the UK for a while and her English ability is incredible so she understands the process and difficulties of pushing one's language ability to advanced and beyond. This was a productive taster session as, between us, we worked out a viable way forward for me to revive and improve upon the Hokkien/Taiwanese which I last used in earnest more than forty years ago. I am about to sign up for a series of lessons with Teacher Lin.
