I will engage my young students with child appropriate fun game/songs/stories & short videos ( w/subtitles). Most activities are set in English/German with some basic reading skills required. I may also speak entirely in German. My goals are for the children to become excited about their lesson and enjoy their time without even noticing that they are studying and learning a foreign language!
I am customizing the lesson to my student's needs/desires/goals & available timetable. The curriculum will be totally tailored to ensure the most successful outcome and will be adjusted according to the student's accomplishments and abilities. I love to give little insights into the German attitude/culture. I gladly share funny anecdotes/hilarious literal translations of words. I am working with several different programs which are useful for traveling purposes or prioritize conversations skills with Everyday German phrases & proverbs - featuring vocabulary/grammar exercises as well as text comprehension. Most programs also offer audio lessons for listening at students' leisure time at home. I believe working w/native speaking tutors the oral communication will greatly improve & eliminate possible mispronunciations before they settle into student's memory. So enjoyable practicing German with Susie. I had studied German a long time ago and was very cold. She had a very good way of letting me get started with many faults, and then selectively giving me the highest impact points to work on and be better, without shutting me down. She was very encouraging, thank you very much Susie.
