My name is Maura. I base in Sichuan, PRC which is famous for hotpot and panda. My native language is mandarin Chinese. But I can also speak Sichuan dialect. I like everything abut ice, ice-cream, skiing, skating, etc. And I'm a student of psychology at university. I want to make friends who have the same hobbies.

As a tutor, I will be responsible and patient. I will try my best to improve your Chinese. My pedagogy is based on your knowledge of Chinese language, literature and culture, and I’ll try utmost to create a relaxed and interesting class atmosphere. No matter you are a beginner, or you have some basic knowledge, there is always a course suitable for you right here.

You can either at will communicate with me in a free manner, or simply tell me the topics you are interested in in advance, and subsequently we will discuss them in depth. In the course of teaching, I can correct your pronunciation, elucidate the meaning of words, record the words and sentences that you don't understand and send them to you for review after class. I’m more than willing to answer any questions, for I have a profound understanding of Chinese history and culture. If you're interested in Sichuan dialect, of course, I will also include this part. Pick me! I will improve your proficiency of Chinese lanugage in your peers.

Maura is a great teacher who is not only friendly but also very knowledgable. When I told her what I wanted to learn at very start of class, she was able to quickly put together a last minute lesson plan that was perfect for my needs and language level! As a beginner with a very low Mandarin level, I was quite nervous about taking this first lesson, but my Maura's patience, calm, and ability to create a comfortable learning environment quickly put me at ease. I wil definitely book more lessons with her! :)
