I have been taking Portuguese lessons with Jefferson for several months now. I can't recommend him enough. I started lessons with him with 0 confidence to talk in Portuguese, and now I am able to have a full conversation in Portuguese! Not only did he help me get out of my comfort zone to help me speak, but he also provided enough material and support to build a strong base. Obrigada Jefferson !

I have been taking lessons for quite some time with Jefferson, and I can say that he is an excellent teacher; as well as a kind and genuine human being. His approach as a teacher, that is to say, the methods, and materials that he uses, are carefully selected in accordance to your needs as student, regardless of the level of understanding you already might have in the language. In addition, he is a good listener, one who is willing to collaborate with the learner to bring out the student's interests and precise needs. Accordingly, he will integrate these particular needs and interests that the student has into his lessons, thereby making each lesson with Jefferson all the more enriching. I know I will continue to rely on Jefferson as a cornerstone teacher and guide in my Portuguese learning journey.

Jefferson is truly and incredible teacher! I recently completed my 100th lesson with him and feel so grateful for his expertise and patience. I meet with him 3 times a week and always find myself smiling after the lessons because he finds a way to make learning a new language fun! He’s brilliant as a professor, creative in his materials, and always happy to adjust to my season of life. I can’t recommend him enough. Obrigada, Jefferson!!

Jefferson is a great teacher. I've been working with him on my Portuguese for some time now and I can't imagine someone better to help me learn Portuguese. He plays close attention to what I say, gives me feedback on what I say, provides corrections if needed, goes over a lot of relevant material. Overall, he is an intelligent person, and I enjoy our lessons together!

I really enjoy my lessons with Jefferson! He’s patient and helps me over the difficult parts of verb conjugation and remembering words that I almost know how to say 😁. When I selected him as a teacher, I explained that I really needed practice speaking. He engages me every lesson with topics that I really enjoy talking about. This has helped me immensely. Beyond speaking, he gives me creative homework that reinforces verb conjugation and vocabulary building, including slang. I would recommend Jefferson to anyone that is looking for a teacher that facilitates conversation, encourages the student to speak and listen and has a teaching style that makes the student feel comfortable.
