Hi there, my name is Clare. I live in London, England, and have lived here for most of my life. As such, I am a native English speaker with a neutral accent. In my spare time you can catch me travelling and exploring the world. I have just returned from South East Asia, where I lived for 4 years teaching in International Schools. I enjoy working with people from all across the globe, which is why I signed up to italki.

I am a qualified Primary Teacher with a PGCE. I have experience teaching children aged 3-16 years in the UK and SE Asia. I particularly enjoy teaching younger students to read, write and speak English confidently. This can be made really fun using phonics cards, games and activities, as well as some of my favourite stories. Having taught across the globe, I am used to teaching all levels and abilities.

I am open to teaching all ages, and have lots of books and resources available. As a teacher, I am used to adapting my lessons, especially to those new to English. If learning English from scratch, you may want more structured lessons. If brushing up on your skills, perhaps just a friendly face to chat with. I like to use technology to help you learn more and advance further.
