IF YOU'RE A NEW STUDENT: ALWAYS SEND ME A MESSAGE FIRST BEFORE BOOKING A LESSON PLEASE!
I grew up in a small village close to Rotterdam and have lived and studied in Maastricht. I do not speak any dialect, but I do love learning languages. My hobbies are writing poetry, reading, listening to music, playing the violin, singing, watching series, roller skating, badminton, going for walks and travelling. Topics such as LGBTQ+, animal welfare, nature, climate change, sustainability, durability, human rights and gender equality are very important to me.
Subjects I have very little knowledge about:

- sports
- politics

As I studied intercultural communication and awareness, I am very much aware of intercultural differences and will adapt my communication and teaching style to what you feel most comfortable with. I am very patient and flexible, and you can always reach me via several platforms. You never have to feel scared or ashamed during my lessons. I love being creative and would like to incorporate that into my lessons as much as possible. I will use many different materials and exercises during my lessons to keep it fun! We will not be working much from study books as these are often a bit boring or too formal or old fashioned. I mainly use my own materials, because I want to teach you natural Dutch.
Since I'm studying many different languages myself, I know which parts of a language can be challenging to learn. Some will have more difficulty with the pronunciation, others with grammar. I will focus on what you need and want to learn most. If you want, I can also try to use some Japanese, French or Korean while teaching.สื่อการสอนของฉัน

Amanda is a wonderful teacher!
She is easy to talk to and very encouraging. The lessons are fun, interesting and the progress seems to happen seamlessly.
The most valuable thing for me is how intuitive Amanda is as a teacher. She can tell the level of my motivation in the lesson and adjust it, so I never feel stressed, or bored, or overwhelmed.
And her positive energy just makes my day! :D
