Rye

Riley is such a cool teacher! She always helps me improve my English by pointing out what I need to work on, and gives me amazing advice on how to get better. Plus, she's a great friend. When I'm not in the mood for lessons, we just talk about daily life. Riley is a super interesting and genuine person, and I love talking to her.

If you want to learn how to speak like an Indonesian local you must take classes with Rye! She will tailor the topics and classes to what you want to learn while making suggestions about topics that would be helpful for those traveling to Indonesia. She is a great teacher who will quickly adapt to how her students learn the best and teach them in a way they understand. I have taken languages with other teachers before, but Rye is definitely the best!

It has now reached 4 months since I started lessons with Riley. She has helped me build my Indonesian from 0, ready for my trip to Bali. We covered a useful variety of topics and focussed on real world situations that would help me on my travels. She is patient and we did a mix of speaking and writing which is the best way to help a language stick, even if it is intimidating. She also gave advice and offered support for visiting the country which goes above and beyond :) Terima kasih! We'll continue lessons when I am back.

Great teacher. She guided me with written materials and pronunciation. She quickly identifies an issue and has me practice the correct way with repetition. She is very patient with me as a brand new student on italki.
