A patient, friendly and professional Dutch teacher Characteristics that are important to mention and define me as a teacher: 1. I am patient. There is no point in rushing new grammar rules if the student(s) are lost. The student should never feel rushed. 2. I am sociable and friendly. This will make a lesson more and enjoyable for both the student and myself. I am also very interested in the student. I believe that a student learns better and quicker if the teacher shows genuine interest in the student. 3. I am creative. I have been a musician all my life. I believe there are many different and alternative ways of learning a language rather than just doing exercises from a textbook.

My native language is Dutch. Through my travels and work as a Teacher assistant, I've learned to speak English (So I know how it feels to learn a new language). Know that It's human to feel a bit scared at the beginning if you're trying something new. But I promise you this in a supportive environment. It can be fun (Pinky swear!). Since 2009, when I moved to Spain, I've been teaching private classes of English and Dutch. Furthermore, I've got labour experience as a tourist guide in Holland for international groups. I studied science and technology at the Leeuwenborgh institute In the Netherlands and my job was training new employers to get ready for their job. In Thailand I started to teach at the local primary school of my village. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to get my TEFL certificate and did additional courses for natural learning, specially for kindergarten kids. I have experience teaching at kindergarten, primary school and secondary school as well as in business English.
