In these lessons, we will use a variety of topical (interesting) news articles in English. In each lesson, you will read a news article out loud, summarize it, and then answer some questions regarding the topic. The questions encourage you to express your opinions and thoughts.

✔ Before class: I will send you a podcast recording (mp3) to listen to.
✔ During class: I will ask you some prepared comprehension questions based on the audio. You will have plenty of opportunities to ask me questions about unfamiliar vocabulary, phrases, and content context.
✔ After class: I will send you a transcript of the audio for your English learning file. You can listen to it again and follow along.

Some of the resources I use include the Global News by the BBC World Service and the Scientific American Podcast: 60-Second Podcasts.

Giving a talk, presentation or demonstration can be a nerve-wracking experience, but with the skills I've learned through this course, getting your nerves under control is easy!

I prepared, recorded and edited tutorial videos and documentation to enable a clear path for users to get the best from the new system.
