So when I was deciding which topic to focus on for our second episode I really only needed to look at what the people I work with are actually asking for. One of the most common topics that I discuss with people is presentations. Presentations can be great opportunities to use those English skills that you work so hard on, but they also have their own stresses and challenges. Today we’re going to look at some vocabulary that you might hear when watching a presentation and some that you might want to use when giving your own. At the end we also have our 'big discussion question' to help you with your speaking practice. You can find the vocabulary from this podcast in the vocabulary sets on my profile. Japanese daily life podcast のAtsushiです。
このPodcastは、日本語を勉強しているみなさんに向けたPodcastです。

今回は乗り継ぎのシンガポールでの話です。
旅行の前に、シンガポールのチャンギ空港で会う約束をしていました。5時間ぐらいだけの乗り継ぎ時間で、時間はとても短く、そして朝早かったんですが、会いにきてくれました。

待ち合わせの場所を探すのにも一苦労でした。
basement2にある、というのはわかっていたんですけど、恥ずかしながら、basementが何かわかっていませんでした。

そこでは１つのエリアのことをbasement、と言っているのかなと思ってんですけど、地下のことでした。

B2て書くと日本人は地下2階だってわかるんですが、頭が回らず、basement2でどこにあるんだ！と探していました。それで、探している時に、改装しているエリアを見つけたので、もしかしたら改装しているかもしれない、と間違って会う人に伝えてしまったり。本当になれない場所に行くと、何をするにも時間がかかりますね。

そして、ようやく会う予定にしていた店を見つけることができました。

ということで、今回はここまでです。
次のPodcastはようやく、会いたい人に会えた話をします。
それと、シンガポールで食べたものの話もしますね。
