Use mirroring - It’s one of the simplest, most invisible, easiest ways to deal with insanely aggressive-assertive people. It builds a connection. You don't have to agree or disagree with people. You can physically match their body language / position and say the magic phrase, which is >>> "It sounds like you have a good reason for saying that."<<< This is an important signal for the other side. When you say that, the other person then feels like they have got your attention. They also really want to be heard as they've thought a lot about what they want to say. It shifts to a collaborative relationship.

马克：丽丽，明天就要去见你的爸爸妈妈了。我准备买点儿鲜花送给阿姨，带一瓶红酒给叔叔。
Mǎkè: Lìlì, míngtiān jiù yào qù jiàn nǐ de bàba māma le。 Wǒ zhǔnbèi mǎi diǎner xiānhuā sòng gěi ā yí，dài yī píng hóngjiǔ gěi shūshu。
丽丽：不用买这些，我们一家都很喜欢吃水果，买点儿水果过去就好了。
Lìlì  :   Bùyòng mǎi zhèxiēū, wǒmen yī jiā dōu xǐhuan chī shuǐguǒ, mǎ diǎnr shuǐguǒ guòqù jiù hǎo le。
马克：就这么简单吗？跟我们那里不一样。
Mǎkè: Jiù zhème jiǎndān mā? Gēn wǒmen nàlǐ bù yīyàng。
丽丽：就是这么简单，太隆重了，他们反而觉得不自然。
Lìlì:     Jiùshì zhème jiǎndān, tài lóngzhòng le, tāmen fǎnér juéde bù zìrán。
马克：我担心这样做不礼貌呢。
Mǎkè: Wǒ dānxīn zhèyàng zuò bù lǐmào ne。
丽丽：投其所好，入乡随俗。我们也请你吃一顿家常便饭。
Lìlì:     Tóu qí suǒ hào, rù xiāng suí sú。 Wǒmen yě qǐng nǐ chī yī dùn jiā cháng biàn fàn。

Mark: Lili, I'm going to meet your mom and dad tomorrow. I'm going to buy some flowers for my aunt and a bottle of red wine for my uncle.  
Lili: There is no need to buy these. We all like fruit very much. Just buy some fruit.  
Mark: Is it that simple?  It's not like where we are.  
Lili: It's as simple as that. If they're too grand, they don't look natural.  
Mark: I'm afraid that would be rude.  
Lili: Do as the Romans do.  We'll treat you to a potluck dinner.

Thorne se sumergió en los archivos del caso del joven artista. Las similitudes eran inquietantes: ambos estudios habían sido meticulosamente alterados para crear atmósferas oscuras y ritualísticas. Los símbolos, aunque ligeramente diferentes, compartían una raíz común, una especie de lenguaje secreto que parecía desafiar cualquier interpretación. La única pista tangible era una referencia a un antiguo texto oculto, mencionado en los diarios personales de ambos artistas.

Intrigado, Thorne comenzó a buscar este texto. Tras meses de investigación, descubrió que se trataba de un grimorio extremadamente raro, que se decía contenía conocimientos prohibidos sobre dimensiones paralelas y entidades oscuras. Según la leyenda, aquel que lograra descifrar sus misterios tendría el poder de invocar fuerzas sobrenaturales. Thorne se dio cuenta de que tanto el escritor como el artista habían estado obsesionados con este grimorio, y que posiblemente habían realizado rituales para intentar abrir un portal hacia otro mundo.

A medida que se adentraba más en su investigación, Thorne comenzó a experimentar sucesos extraños. Tenía pesadillas recurrentes con las mismas criaturas aladas que aparecían en las pinturas del artista. Además, objetos se movían por sí solos en su oficina y escuchaba voces susurrando su nombre en la oscuridad. El detective comenzaba a creer que las fuerzas oscuras que ambos artistas habían invocado estaban comenzando a manifestarse en el mundo real.

Con el tiempo, Thorne logró dar con la ubicación del grimorio. Se encontraba en una antigua biblioteca oculta bajo una mansión abandonada. Sin embargo, al acercarse al libro, se dio cuenta de que era una trampa. Las fuerzas oscuras que había despertado estaban preparadas para defender su secreto. Thorne se enfrentó a una batalla contra lo desconocido, luchando por salvarse a sí mismo y al mundo de una amenaza que superaba cualquier cosa que hubiera imaginado.
