HELEN: To the library. I’ve got a history exam next week 
and need to start studying. Ugh.
JANE: Oh, no. Well, I’ll see you later then. Good luck! 
HELEN: Thanks. See you later.


LANGUAGE NOTES
• “Hi” is an informal way of saying “hello.” Notice that the “i” sound in “hi” is extended, to 
show that Jane is very pleased to see Helen.
• “How’s it going?” is an informal way of saying “How are you?”
• “Fine, thanks—and you?” Notice the rising intonation on “and you?” This shows that 
Helen is interested in what Jane has to say.
• “Where are you off to?” is an informal way of saying “Where are you going?” Notice the 
falling intonation since this is an information question, not a “yes/no” question.
• “To the library.” Notice that Helen does not say “I’m going” here because that 
information was already established in the question “Where are you off to?”
• “Oh, no” is a way of saying “I sympathize with you” or “I understand you are not happy.”
• “See you later” is an informal way of saying “goodbye.”

Day2 : Informal Greeting in English

みなさん、こんにちは。
みなさんは、お菓子作りをしますか。
バナナケーキを作ったことがありますか。
ホットケーキミックスで作るバナナケーキは、我が家の定番の朝ごはんメニューなんです。
息子も娘も大好きで、いつも取り合いです。
では、作り方をご紹介します。
まずは、材料と用意するものです。
・18㎝のパウンド型（これはダイソーやcandoのような100円ショップで売っています）
・バナナ2本
・卵　1個
・砂糖　30ｇ
・サラダ油　60ｇ
・ホットケーキミックス150ｇ（これは日本のスーパーであれば、どこにでも売っています。みなさんの国にもありますか。あるかな。あるといいな。きっと国によって少し味が違うと思うんですよね。みなさんの国のホットケーキミックスはどんな味なんでしょうか）
➀まず、型にシートをひきます。そしてオーブンを180度に予熱（よねつ）します。
②ボウルにバナナ１本を入れて、フォークでつぶして、ペースト状（じょう）にします。ペースト状、わかりますか。どろっとなるまで、バナナをつぶします。
③ペースト状にしたバナナに、卵、砂糖、サラダ油を加えてよく混ぜます。最後にホットケーキミックスも加えて混ぜます。
④これを、型に流し込みます。もう一本のバナナを縦半分（たてはんぶん）に切ってのせます。
⑤予熱したオーブンで35分～40分焼きます。

たったのこれだけです。すごく簡単でしょ。ぜひ、作ってみてください。おいしいですよ。

What Is a Mock Interview?

Japanese daily life podcast のAtsushiです。
このPodcastは、日本語を勉強しているみなさんに向けたPodcastです。


今回はなんと300回！👏👏👏

このPodcastの1回目は1年前の6月21日でした。
そして今日、300回目をむかえました。

できるだけ毎日するようにしてますが、結局週に5.6回になることが多いので、今日2023年7月5日が300回になりました。

とりあえずはじめてみたこのPodcastですが、思いのほか自分にはあってるみたいです。

InstagramやTwitterなど、きらいじゃないですが、こういうのは毎日はできないです、向いてないんですね。YouTubeも。見るのはほぼ毎日見てますが、自分で動画作るのは大変だから好きじゃないです。

でもPodcastだけは、ほぼ毎日、することができています。これは本当に自分にとってもいいことです。


日本語学習者のみなさんのお手伝いをしたいと思ってはじめたのがこのPodcastです。

みなさんの役に立っていれば、うれしいです！
