今日は
右利き(みぎきき)
左利き(ひだりきき)
のはなしです。

大谷翔平(おおたにしょうへい)選手(せんしゅ)がグローブをプレゼントしたニュースがありましたね。

日本の小学校(しょうがっこう)に、
グローブを3つ、プレゼントします。

なぜ3つ？なのか。

それは、
右利き(みぎきき)のグローブが2つ、
左利き(ひたりきき)のグローブか1つ、
ぜんぶで3つ、だそうです。

私は右利きです。

ペンは右(みぎ)でもって、書きます。

おはしも右でもって、つかいます。

ボールも右手でなげます。

たぶん、右利きの人が多いですね。

大谷選手はどうでしょうか？

彼は、ボールは右でなげます。

でも、打(う)つときは、左です。

右も左も、両方(りょうほう)つかうことができます。

つまり、両利き(りょうきき)です。

訓読み　うーつ　送り仮名は、つ

意味は、うつ、たたく、とかです。
打つ、という言葉は日本では野球で使われることが多いです。その為、この文字は野球の関係の言葉が多いです。また、野球の言葉から転じて日常生活で使うこともよくあります。

例えば、

・打撃ーだげき　強く打つこと、相手に痛手を与えること

・打刻ーだこく　時刻を記録すること

・打算ーださん　損得を考えて判断すること

・打席ーだせき　野球のバッターボックスのこと、ビジネスなどの機会などの表現にも使う

・代打ーだいだ　ピンチヒッター。交代して打席に立つこと。転じてビジネスなどで誰かの代わりに仕事を受けること。

こんな感じですね。
これを使って例文を作っていきましょう！
