I'm from Myanmar. We have Thadingyut Festival in October, is held on full moon day of Thadingyut month of Myanmar calendar. We get used to celebrate it for three days including the days before and after of the full moon day. We light candals in front of our house and on the roads to welcome the Buddha. In addition, pagodas, shopping malls and some buildings are decorated with the beautiful lights and electric bulbs. We play with firecrakers, fireworks and fire ballons. We usually go to pagodas and monasteries to pay respect to the monks and offer foods on the full moon day of Thadingyut. We also pay respect to our parents, grandparents, teachers, and elderly relatives and offer them some fruits and gifts. We usually ask for forgiveness from the wrongdoings upon them throughout the year. Traditionally, they forgive any of our wrongdoings and bless us with good luck and some notes as pocket money.
