Hi, I send you my tips about language learning: - You can use apps on your mobile phone, for example Duolingo. I find this helpful, but it's not enough to learn a new language. It's more like a game, a few minutes or more every day, which is fun and useful. However, you can't expect to be able to hold a conversation in the foreign language in a short time. - You can attend a course at a school. Here you learn together with others, which can be fun and motivating. However, you are dependent on fixed times and do not learn as effectively as you would on your own. - You can attend a one-to-one course. This is a very good way to learn quickly, but is usually very expensive. - I prefer to learn with a personal teacher or tutor on Italki. This is very effective and, depending on the teacher, also very cheap. In my opinion, it's best to learn with native speakers, otherwise you'll learn the wrong pronunciation and sometimes even the wrong grammar. You can also search by country so that you can find a teacher in your desired region. I personally prefer this method. So now you know which method I would recommend for learning a new language. That’s my opinion about learning a language, I don’t use this for German, because it’s my native language. 😀But it’s no difference what language you are learning. Some languages are more difficult than others. I think German isn’t easy but it’s not the most difficult language ever. You can fix it. Hopefully this helps. Greetings from Switzerland Stefanie

I would say slowly (if you can, if you don´t have to learn the language fast) and thoroughly. There´s a lot of grammar rules and it pays off to learn them one by one and practice a lot. Every day topics are great to repeat grammar and sentence structure again and again. A bit tedious but it pays off. In my opinion it´s also important to have a teacher. It´s almost impossible to understand German grammar without somebody who is able to explain it to you. Hope that helps :-)

Hello Lana! It all starts with practicing pronounciation, as this tend to be difficult in the beginning. After completing the phonology it's important to learn how to distinguish different word groups (verbs, nouns, adjectives etc.) in order to put them together in sentences. In the meantime it's crucial to improve the vocabulary by reading short textes or watching german tv. The third step would be to practice speaking by putting your vocabulary into grammatically correct sentences. This step takes the most time and learners can be impatient, but patience is the key when learning a new language. It's very important to create realistic speaking occasions, such as an interview, dialog or a discussion. Let me know, if you need some more informations! :-) Regards, Alois
