The right teacher will be based on a number of things. First of all price - if you are going to have a long term relationship the price become more important. If you are considering having more than one lesson a week - the costs becomes a burden. Availability - who cares what a great teacher someone is if that person can't instruct when you are able to learn. Gender may or may not be important for you.  I would read the introductions to get an idea of a person's teaching philosophy and watch the video - but of course that may not really tell you much. When I was looking for a teacher I wanted someone who spoke as little English as possible to force me to use my new language skills. How do you plan on using the teacher? Do you want mostly conversational language or do you want grammar with deep explanations? Once you make a choice - I would have a few backup options and then take a few lessons to see if you click.
