A translator better than Google translate? I use Google translate often but I wonder if it's the most accurate translator I could be using.

For individual words and idioms, wordreference.com is an absolute lifesaver! For sentence translations however I usually just use Google Translate.

In my opinion "reverso context" is the best, because wheather you want to translate an entire sentence, it gives you a lot of examples and it isn't limited just to litteral translation. So you can have a trusty translation perfectly tie with what you want really explain

The Google translator works as well as you trust it. Put a longer text into it, and you will see many adequate translations in the sum. But I never would blindly trust to it. Very often it cannot know your intention, of course, and then it translates words literally. Many phrases or idioms are unknown to it. What does it do? It literally translates them, and so you can have much fun with the results. Unfortunately, I did not save the funniest results. But rest assured -- it provides me regularly with a good portion of laughter. So we are pretty good friends on the basis of "Trust, but verify!"

I usually write my texts in a word document and put them for my control into the translator. If I am dissatisfied, I start looking for better or simpler alternatives. What I would never recommend: Write texts in your native language and copy the translation. It cannot work and you will make a fool of yourself. I guess this still refers at the moment to any kind of computer generated translation.

The Chrome browser has an extension called ImTranslator. It uses Google, Bing, and Translator.  The English sentences it translates from Spanish are very natural.
