A computer game review! Practice for FCE exam :) Mass Effect review One of the best games in the market, absolutely acclaimed by any magazine or player who knows how a good computer game should be, is without any type of doubt, Mass Effect. This is a computer game which has a completely imaginary universe, involving a lot of different planets, each with different cultures, creatures and plots to be discovered. The main character is going to travel around these planets in order to find an ancient weapon, created by an extinguished ancient race, which has the power of destroying the enemy that is attacking the entire galaxy. One of the good points of this computer game is, of course, the plot, which is deep and perfectly written. You will be involved in such a great story that you will not abandon until you discover the end of it. Another good point is the variety of weapons that you will have as equipment in order to destroy your enemies! On the other hand, we can say that an improvement in the control system would be fine, at the time that the control presents a few issues while walking or shooting the creatures. If you don't have at least eighteen years don't play this game, because it won’t be suitable for you, but if your are older than that, you will discover the best game in ages!

Mass Effect review

One of the best games in on the market, absolutely highly [1] acclaimed by any magazine or player [=gamer] who knows how a good a computer game should be, is without any type of a doubt [2], Mass Effect.

This is a computer [=video] game which that [3] has a completely imaginary universe, involving a lot of different planets, each with a different cultures [4], creatures and plots to be discovered. The main character is going to travel around these planets in order to find an ancient weapon, created by an extinguished [or "extinct"] ancient race, which that has the power of to destroying the enemy that is attacking [or "invading"] the entire galaxy.

One of the good great [stronger wording, 'good' sounds "wishy-washy"] points [=aspects, facets, features] of this computer game is, of course, the plot, which is deep and perfectly [=impeccably] written. You will be involved [=immersed] in such a great story that you will not abandon it [=put it down, leave it] until you discover [=get to] the end of it. [5] Another good point is the variety of weapons that you will have as equipment [=in your arsenal] in order to destroy your enemies!

On the other hand, we can say that an improvement in the control system would be fine, at the time that the control presents a few issues [6] while walking or shooting the creatures.

If you don't have are not at least eighteen years old, don't play this game, because it won’t be suitable for you [7], but if your are older than that, you will discover the best game in ages!

[1] "Highly acclaimed" is an idiomatic expression, so there's no rhyme or reason to it. :)

[2] "Without a doubt" is another idiomatic expression. Another variation: "no doubt".

[3] "Which" vs. "that" is a common mistake, even among English speakers. "That" is used when the clause restricts the meaning of the sentence. "Which" is used when the clause can be omitted without changing the intent of the sentence. Here's a good explanation of the difference from Writer's Digest: http://www.writersdigest.com/online-editor/which-vs-that

[4] "Each" is singular, i.e. "To each, his own."

[5] Another variation: "...until you come to the end".

[6] This clause would some more authoritative/expert using the active voice instead of the passive voice: "the control system needs [=could stand/use] some improvement, especially with the timing control..."

[7] Another was to rephrase this in order to convey a critiquing voice: "This game is not suitable for players under 18 years because of mature content..."
