"unaffected scorn" - genuine or unchangeable? "Gatsby /.../ represented everything for which I have an unaffected scorn". Does "unaffected" mean "genuine" or "unchangeable", eternal scorn?

Unaffected = honest. It is genuine scorn.

It can be both simultaneously. The man had genuine hate for Gatsby, and that hate could be eternal.
