Yo soy española y considero el argentino el acento más bonito de latinoamérica. Me gusta mucho. Tampoco entiendo que te dijeran que no se parece nada al italiano, para mi suena como si hablaran español con acento italiano. Otra cosa puede ser que los argentinos tengan fama de hablar demasiado, tanto que llegan a hacerse cargantes jaja. Y además a los chicos no le gustan los argentinos porque se ligan a las chicas en España jaja Pero eso son solo tópicos. Quizá puede ser que me guste porque es una variante con una cierta musicalidad, como dice Abel y yo soy gallega y la musicalidad o el hablar cantando que algunos encuentran gracioso, es algo que a mi me gusta de mi lengua y de acento. I'm from Spain and I think that the argentinian is the most beautiful accent in latinamerica. I really like it. I don't understand either why people told you that it's not similar to the italian accent. To me it sounds like if someone speaks spanish with an italian accent. It might be that the argentinian guys are known for talking too much haha And here in Spain the guys might be jealous of them because they flirt with the girls haha, but those are only cliches. I might like it because it has a sing-song sound as Abel says and I am from Galicia (I speak also Galician) and I actually like that sing-song sound that some might find funny, it's part of my language and my accent.

Soy de Argentina y te puedo decir que lo que llaman "acento argentino" es sólo el acento que existe en una parte de Buenos Aires, la capital. En todos los otros lugares, se habla cono un acento más parecido a otros países de Latinoamérica.

It may be a matter of taste, but Argentinian does not usually sound really "ugly" for us, it usually sounds funny because of its sing-songy sound. We find sing-songy accents such as Argentinian, Galician or Asturian accents funny, also Italian accent is funny for us. Anyway some women find it sexy. But few people consider it "beautiful", since it sounds really strange and unfamiliar when compared to other accents because of that sing-songy sound. It's not true that b and v are distinguished in Argentinian. Actually they're not distinguished in any variety. Moreover modern orthography does not reflect the distribution of those letters as they were pronounced in Medieval Spanish, so it would be ridiculous if any dialect preserved the distinction as reflected in modern orthography. In Medieval Spanish "haber" was written "aver" or "haver" (as in Portuguese) and cantaba was written "cantava" (as in Portuguese) and that reflected the actual pronunciation. Portuguese retains the old orthography and pronunciation of v's. But long after the distinction was lost, modern orthography underwent a reform in the XVIII century and some words started to be written with the Latin spelling, which does not reflect medieval pronunciation.

Es una entre las varias variantes que existen al igual que lo hay en otros idiomas. Me imagino que en tu idioma nativo debe suceder lo mismo o algo parecido, de acuerdo a las regiones puede haber diferencias en la forma de pronunciar y entonar algunas palabras. Lo recomendable es conocer estas variantes y estar consientes de las mismas, las preferencias ya es un tema de gusto personal. En mi opinión, aprender un idioma con un acento lo más neutral posible puede ser una interesante opción. Saludos.
