WOMEN / HADITH Women / Hadith The Prophet Muhammad (Peace of Allah be upon Him) Said: Women are the twin halves of men. The world and all things in it are valuable; but the most valuable thing in the world is a virtuous woman. When a woman performs the five times of prayer, and fasts the month of Ramadan, and is chaste, and is not disobedient to her husband, then tells her to enter Paradise by whichever door she likes. Whoever does good to girls, it will be a curtain to him from hell-fire. Whoever looks after two girls till they come of age, will be in the next world along with me, like my two fingers joining each other.

Why is it then that your women have so few rights?

Moreover, Muslim women have the right to get education, to go to the mosque, to work, to visit relatives and female friends. Islam considers a woman to be equal to a man as a human being and as his partner in this life.

Muslim women do enjoy many rights the most important one is that they are respected for their mind and for being their own person unlike western women who whatever rights they have, they fall short of those of her Muslim counterpart. Islam has given woman her full security and protects her against becoming what western modern women themselves complain against "a mere sex object". Also, Muslim women do important jobs and they possess many important skills (there are many Muslim doctors, engineers, teachers, etc...). Even those who stay at home, are not deprived of their rights of respect and good treatment as they also devote their life to care for their families... Unlike western women who may be doing the same job that men do but their wages are often less. they were also obliged to work because of many factors (shortage of manpowerduring wars, pressure of economic neeeds and the requirement of industry...)
