When I tried to translate these two Chnese words into English I felt they seemed have the same meaning and I got the similiar words like puzzled, confused, perplexed, be at a loss, and so on. So I just give my opinion below: 困惑 is something very concrete let people feel puzzled, confused, perplexed, be at a loss, and so on. Like a difficult question and the words someone told you. It's aimed at an exact thing. 我对目前的情况感到困惑。I feel puzzled about the current situation. 这个问题一直困惑着我。 The problem has always had me tiep up in knots. 迷惘 sounds a little more literary and poetic. Sometimes someone who uses it even is a little hopeless. The word usuaslly isn't aimed a exact thing, but describe someone's some a little messy minds. It tries to describe something abstract or far away, like future or life. 我对 未来/生活 感到迷惘。I feel perplexed about future/life. 迷茫 'vast and hazy'(sightseeing) or'confused'(the expression/look on the face). 远处一片迷茫。It is hazy in ditance. 他脸上露出迷茫的神情。There was confused look on his face. 困惑 means there is sth or a question makes you confused. 迷茫 means,for example, you lose yourself in the course when pursuing fame or money.

To be honest, as a Chinese, I cant even figure out the differences between those two. Uhh, first, both can be used to describe a situation of confusion and the second can also be used to describe a certain environment which is unclear. And there r 2 other similar words that may confuse u: 迷茫 & 迷惘
