What does "sock it to me" mean?
In Fight Club, the character played by Brad Pitt wears a T-shirt with the message "sock it to me" at certain point of the film. I have looked it up in translators but the answers that I get aren´t satisfactory!
That particular shirt (in that font) is a reference to a 1960s tv-show called "Laugh In." "Sock it to me" was their catch phrase. (When someone said it on the show, something silly would happen to them.)

"Come on, let me have it!" "It" could be something physical like a punch or non-physical like a tennis serve. It's kind of like the expression "Hit me with your best shot" or "Show me what you've got".
