Brandon
dake vs shika, in terms of meaning "only/just" Brandon vs. Cyaoeu, fight! (jodan da yo, jodan.) Anyway, when to use dake, when to use shika? As always, thanks.

Both words mean "only/just", but "dake" may be used in affirmative and negative sentences whereas "shika" can be only used in negative sentences (always followed by "-nai" or "-masen"). ex) Sore dake desu. (That's all) Sore dake dewa arimasen. (That's not all) Sore shika arimasen (That's the only one left)
