One question about "much" In general "much" is not used in positive sentences . If the sentences has a negative meaning can we use mush ? for example : you are eating much sugar these days .

We don't usually use much as a quantifier in an afirmative sentence. YOu're right so I need much sugar isnot natural or not really used. When we do use much in an affirmative sentece it's formal and you can use it : there's much concern (quantifier)these are typical sentences you can find in tests Now the way much was used in the sentences above is different from that of a quantifier if you want to check all the uses lear more at cambridge. bye

In general "much" is actually neutral. It depends on the context whether it is negative or positive. Positive: We had so much fun. There were so much good food at the party. I have so much money now. Negative: I have so much work to do. I ate too much. I don't have much money left. "Too" on the other hand, often take a negative meaning (though not always). So I would rather say: You are eating TOO much sugar these days . I hope my explanation helps :)
