What is common use "To be fond of" or "To be interesed in"? If I want to speak about my hobbies how can I say? I'm interested in painting or I'm fond of painting? I mean that I am not a professional artist but I like to draw from time to time

to be fond of = to like, to have warm feelings for We use "fond" with anything which we has an enduring emotional appeal for us e.g. people, food, ornaments, places, buildings. It could be used for painting if you have warm feelings for that activity.

To be "fond" of something means that you have a stronger emotional attachment to the object than a simple "interest" in it.
