Is it correct to say "there are 4 members in my family"? Should I use "people" instead of "members"?
I read in my book that you can't say "there are 4 members in my family" . There was no explanation why. But I've found some examples when native speakers use this sentence and I'm a little bit confused now. Could you explain me why we can't say this?

There are 4 members OF my family sounds good to me.  There are 4 people IN my family also sounds good.

I suspect the issue is "of" or "in"
