Ciao Giovanni! Avercela is a pronominal verb. Those verbs are the nightmare of the advanced students . When you see a pronominal verb the best thing you can do is to see the conjugation at presente e passato prossimo so you know how it works: ( presente indicativo) IO ce l'ho/ tu ce l'hai /lui ce l'ha/noi ce l'abbiamo/ voi ce lìavete/loro ce l'hanno (passato prossimo) io ce l'ho avutA/ tu ce l'hai avutA / lui ce l'ha avutA/ noi ce l'abbiamo avutA/voi ce l'avete avutA/ loro ce l'hanno avutA. L'= LA in averceLA. since it is femminin at the passato prossimo you have to say : lui ce l'ha vuta. The rponouns in verbi pronominali are used only to differenciate them from the normal verb AVERE / AVERCELA. but they have no meaning.
