Data: countable or not countable? Hi all! I'm writing a technical article, and I would like to say something like that: 1,800 sensors generate 1,300,000 data per day. The problem is: "data" is not countable, so I think that "1300000 data" is not correct. So, how should I write this sentence?

That's debatable. Technically, “data” is the plural of the countable noun “datum”. In today’s English, however, “data” is often used as a singular uncountable noun. In your examples, therefore, I’d recommend you write something like “pieces of data” or “data points.”
