Violation is a breaking of a law or rule, or it could also be a sexual crime. Infringement carries the idea of stepping over the line where you should be into another area where you should not be. This could be a literal area or it could be a subjective area where the line is defined by law. It has more of the idea that you have not really made a total invasion of the area, you just crossed over the line a little.

Yes, there is a fine difference between Both i.e. VIOLATION & INFRINGEMENT Violation is breaking of Law with the knowledge or without knowledge. Infringement is entering into someone Right or overlapping each other same Rights or intersection of two equal Right All violation is not infringement but all infringement is a violation. In other words, Violation is a genus and infringement is species. To have clarity: Violation: In the case of Violation, the offence is certain and absolute. Like where 'what is Unlaw' is defined then no one supposes to disobey the same. For e.g. Piracy, Smuggling, Murder or paying Tax etc. are clear well-defined laws. Hence, any Act against or Omission is a violation. Infringement: When two people having equal rights without any question where such Right/s are conferred by Constitution or Statute. Like Freedom of Expression or having the freedom to use Speakers or Freedom of Speech or Freedom to Publish any literary work. This doesn't mean that one can say about/against anyone or act anything. There is an invisible and undefined boundary. It may happen that while one is exploiting his right or enjoying his right (listening to music in loud volume) may enter into someone's Right. The moment the person enters into someone's right innocently or even intentionally claiming that he has full right of enjoying or exploiting his right, such actions comes under the ambit of infringement. regards Anil Nimesh 9811106765 [email protected]
